Falling in Love at Walter's Falls

Built on the site of Walter's Falls historic sawmill, The Falls Inn boasts an exquisite dining room and 15 luxury rooms that all open up to a 45 ft. double-plunge waterfall. ’ÄúMy grandfather and father ran the sawmill on this property purchased in 1944 and destroyed by fire in 1984. We continued to own the land and wanted to build on my wife Meg's experience in hospitality. We felt the falls would make a great attraction for romantic getaways and weddings have been a popular option since we opened in 2005,’Äù inn owner Dwayne Hallman explained. His wife Meg grew up in a 15-room inn where her mother was resident manager. Together she and Dwayne have used their experience to create an idyllic setting for romance, relaxation and pampering.

The falls is a sight to behold and an incredible backdrop for a special occasion. ’ÄúHaving the seclusion of the grounds, exclusive access to the inn and the falls for a backdrop makes this location quite popular for weddings and banquets,’Äù he added. Executive Chef Mark Breadner takes great care in preparing food using the freshest local ingredients including items from Meaford's 100-mile market. ’ÄúOur guests are often amazed at the quality of the food provided, but these comments are equal to that of the comfort and view of the guest rooms, and the service provided by the staff,’Äù Dwayne said.
